Gary Cornick is Chief Executive Officer of Certifinder. Previously, he founded and served as President of LexisNexis PeopleWise, a national pre-employment screening company that was acquired by global information provider LexisNexis. Gary is a recognized industry expert in the fields of employment screening, employee selection, assessments and public records research. He has been featured or quoted in numerous publications including the New York Times, Forbes, Business Journal, CIO Magazine, San Francisco Examiner, Workforce Magazine, Security Management Magazine, Human Resource Executive Magazine, HR Magazine and Loss Prevention Magazine.
Kim M. Kerr, CPP, is Chief Information Officer at Verisys Corporation. He is also working on his second book, Violence in the Workplace; A Matter of Perspective, which will publish this year. Previously, he was Vice President of LexisNexis Risk & Information Analytics Group where he led the Authentication & Screening division. Kim has worked in investigations, corporate and event security, executive protection, and most recently, background screening business for over 30 years and recently co-authored a book called Background Screening and Investigations: Managing Hiring Risk from the HR and Security Perspectives.
Mark Doyle currently serves as President of Hayes International. In this capacity he is responsible for the overall daily operations of the Company including scheduling and planning of the Consulting Division; client liaison; Hayes International’s highly popular Annual Retail Theft Survey; coordinator and director of theft investigations; audit review; and safety and risk management activities. As a recognized expert within the loss prevention area, Mr. Doyle frequently assists companies in re-structuring their Loss Prevention operations. His consolidation of jobs, elimination of unnecessary functions, and redirection of the overall LP effort has frequently resulted in significant annual payroll savings and profit improvement in inventory shrinkage for multiple clients.
David J. Cherrington is a Professor of Organizational Leadership and Strategy at Brigham Young University. He attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University where he received a bachelor of science in 1966 with a major in psychology and a minor in mathematics. He also attended Indiana University where he received an MBA and Doctors degree in Business Administration (DBA) in 1970. He is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Academy of Management. He has served as President of the Personnel Association of Central Utah and as the National Director of Codification and Research for the Human Resource Certification Institute. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and served from 1989 to 1995 as a member of the national HRCI board of directors.
Jack L. Hayes is an internationally recognized expert on Inventory Shrinkage Control and Loss Prevention. Having over thirty-five years experience in the loss prevention/security industries, he possesses extensive expertise in evaluating, developing, implementing and administering loss prevention and inventory shrinkage control programs for some of the finest retail, industrial and manufacturing companies in the United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and South America. During the past thirty years, Mr. Hayes has conducted extensive studies into how and why people steal from companies. During this period of time he personally interviewed well over 1,000 dishonest employees, and over 1,000 “outsiders” consisting primarily of vendors, truckers, shoplifters, burglars, and holdup men.
